1 ton of drug burnt

Around one tonne of drug which was siezed in 2011 will be burnt at a remote plot in Mean Chey Commune in Phnom Penh city, according to Koh Santepheap website.

The total amount of drug which was captured in 2011 is around 3 tonnes; however the destruction will be made in two stages, by fire and later chemical, an officer of Phnom Penh Municipal Court of First Instance said at the event.

Drugs have been trafficked in the Capital city of Phnom Penh and other provinces in Cambodia in spite of the serious action from the Government and other organisations' inspection.
