There have been a shocking news around HIV spreading in Battabang Province, Cambodia in the past few weeks.
Last updated from the previous week 90 people of around 1000 from three villages whose ages ranking from little children to old people were confirmed to have HIV while today confirmed from Pasteur Institute the number of HIV patients has increased to 140 people.
This shock was broken out when an man and later his family who was under no good condition went to do a blood test and got HIV positive result. After that others who have the same symptoms went to do the test and got the same result. This spread to the rest of the people and to those who live in the nearby villages.
The Prime Minister does not believe the result and alleged that there must have been mistakes in relation to either the process or/and the testing equipment.
Yem Chrin, 55, the doctor who was allegedly providing public service to those villagers, was sent to the province's court on Sunday 21 December 2014. He admitted that he occasionally did not change the needles and syringes while some of those evidence was destroyed by the his son-in-law.
