GREAT Honour Garment Factory Boss Runs

Garment Workers at GREAT Honour of 970 people, the majority of village 4, Svay Rolom Commune, Saang District at the dawn of August 11, ride spring trailers to Kandal Provincial Office to ask the authorities to intervene when the factory boss fleed and not pay the workers and shut the door.

The workers had come to stand and stop spring trailers in a large compact arrangment in front of the provincial government, requesting the authorities and labor department officials to justice to them due to the factory owner ran away and not pay the workers for a month's salary in July. The workers said they work as expected on salaries over $ 100 for dealing with their daily lives.

If the factory owner ran away withouth paying salaries to workers, what could they depend on? Workers asked the authorities to help solve bankruptcy as soon as possible, if the plant closed, all other related payments to workers on the job should be settled properly. The union representing workers at the plant, Mrs Lach Sorphorn revealed that represents the plant declared bankruptcy factory workers and staff has closed and has urged authorities to handle.

Union representatives had said that in the afternoon of August 11, the provincial Department of Labor Minister has visited the plant and making materials in a factory and left temporarily to hold discussions. Although such workers and staff the plant asked the hospital authorities and the Ministry of Labour do to help solve other workers to receive the money everything from labor law.
