One of the most popular workplaces for jobless and needy people is here, garbage dump at Steung Mean Chey district. It is located around 1 km from Steung Mean Chey bridge ( or around 3 km north of InterContinental Hotel. People usually gather very early in the morning or any time when the garbage trucks arrive. After trading, a family of two to three people get around $2 for the whole collections of the day which is enough for a kilo of rice and a pound of beef/bacon or a kind of vegetables. This means they cannot afford even a kid to school. Poor them!

Hard Lives

Life is hard to explain. Some people are struggling very hard to servive a day. I took this photo from my balcony to a neighbor's front small yard. There were having their lunch and talking. I don't know what they were talking about but the sound of the girls seems to be very normal. The two little girls seems to be accustomed to this situation. Wish they earn good meals every days.
